After the historic visit over 30 years ago of China's Ping Pong team to the University of Michigan, Robert Nederlander headed a delegation of University professors and scholars to the People's Republic of China to meet senior governmental representatives and leading administrators. The trip was a great success and many new friendships were formed. The Nederlanders are very proud of the small role they played in opening the channels of communication between the United States and China and in helping to foster better relations at that time. Three decades later, he is working with his son Robert and Madame Chen on the introduction of a new venture that will become a leader in the growth of the entertainment industry in China.
