The Downtown Tour exposes members of the group to some of the most prominent Manhattan tourist attractions, including Herald Square, SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, the Financial District and Rockefeller Center

Tour of NBC Studios 1:45PM – 3:00PM
Get a behind the scenes look at many of NBC's production studios.

Pop Vocal Workshop 3:30PM – 4:30PM
Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave – 16th Floor, Studio 16 F/G

Led by music director Jared Stein, the group learns about pop vocal techniques. Participants discuss the difference between pop and musical theatre techniques and explore their convergence by learning and performing "Seasons of Love" from Rent.

A brief chat with Broadway actress, Emily Hsu, the group discusses the state of Asian-American theater in the U.S. Emily shares her story – how she came to perform on the Broadway stage and where she plans to go in the future.

Using scenes from Flower Drum Song, participants learn a bit about what it takes to be an actor. The group learns by doing, studying scenes and putting them on their feet.

Explore one of the most pre-eminent museums in the United States. Major attractions include the Temple of Dendur, the Arms and Armory exhibit and Renaissance portraiture. (The group will split apart at noon and head to the studio by cab).

It's time to dance musical theatre style. Guest instructor Arbender Robinson (The Little Mermaid) leads the group in a number from one of the most popular shows on Broadway – Hairspray.
