This beautifully restored theatre first opened in 1982 as the Theatre on the Square.

The Post Street Theatre has presented over 60 productions including some of Broadway's finest Tony award winners: Torch Song Trilogy, Biloxi Blues, Shirley Valentine and I'm Not Rappaport.

Known for its reputation of presenting some of the country's finest theatrical productions, The Post Street Theatre has a history for launching new and successful works including John Leguizamo's Freak, the National Tour of Steve Martin's Picasso At The Lapin Agile, Sandra Bernhard's I'm Still Here, Damn It and the North American Premiere of Dame Edna: The Royal Tour.
